Lori Brown, MSW Pre-licensed Therapist

Adolesscent - Lifespan Therapist
I am a mental health and substance abuse counselor who graduated from Delaware State University with a master’s degree in social work. I also have a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Wilmington University and a dual associate’s in human services and Drug and Alcohol Counseling from Delaware Technical and Community College. In my practice, I utilize both mindfulness and the existential approach.

I have experience in counseling children of all ages from pre-k, elementary Edu., through high school. I have worked in the guidance department in several districts in the local area, which has allotted me the time to prepare innovative lessons for the students. The lessons were about self-respect, self-esteem concerns, bullying, bus safety, and much more. I also have experience in substance abuse counseling, which has provided me with a plethora of interventions to help clients with their recovery. I am a patient, analytic, solution-oriented, and reliable counselor with outstanding interpersonal skills and a positive attitude, and I provide exceptional care to those in need.

I provide grief counseling and specialize in anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, and PTSD. However, I also see many other disorders. The clients I serve are from 16 – 100 individual counseling, children, and couples counseling.
